Question: Why do you think the Chronicler chose to focus on the Jewish people being restored to God?
Because of the warnings to Israel by God in Deuteronomy, as to what would be His response is shown in Chp. 28:15–68!
When in Acts 28:25–28, Israel/Sanhedrin rejected Christ Jesus as their Messiah; the warnings of Deut. 28 became de-facto; and will not be reversed until the events of Zech. 12:10!
